Those we love remain with us,
For love itself lives on'
And cherished memories never fade,
Because a loved ones gone,
Those we love can never be,
More than a thought apart,
For as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart

Thinking of you xx

I said a prayer for you today
And know God must have heard.
I felt the answer in my heart although He spoke no word.
I didn't ask for wealth or fame,
I knew you wouldn't mind,
I asked Him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind.
I asked that He'd be near you at the start of each new day,
to grant you health and blessings and friends to share the way.
I asked for happiness for you in all things great and small,
but it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all xxx(sister of Doris Duncton(

A friendly, affable and hardworking politician

The Vice-President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama, has described the sudden death of Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning as a terrible shock and dumb-founding. Visibly fighting back tears from his eyes, Alhaji Aliu said the sudden death of Mr. Baah-Wiredu is devastating. “It is a sad day for the country,” he said during a meeting with the US Ambassador, Mr. Donald Gene Teitelbum at the Osu Castle.

An official statement signed by Mr. Kwadwo Mpiani, Chief of Staff and Minister for Presidential Affairs, announced the death of the Minister, in South Africa, after a short illness.

Alhaji Mahama described Mr. Baah-Wiredu as a good man who was also his personal friend. The Vice-President was speaking when he received the incoming American Ambassador, Donald Gene-Teitelbum at the Castle, Osu.

Do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
(Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!)

The Peaceful Sage
Let not a person revive the past
Or on the future build his hopes;
For the past has been left behind
And the future has not been reached.
Instead with insight let him see
Each presently arisen state;
Let him know that and be sure of it,
Invincibly, unshakeably.
Today the effort must be made;
Tomorrow Death may come, who knows?
No bargain with Mortality
Can keep him and his hordes away.
But one who dwells thus ardently,
Relentlessly, by day, by night
It is he, the Peaceful Sage has said,
Who has one fortunate attachment.
